Selecting the Correct Birth Date Range for a Program in Wandoo Reader

Selecting a birth date range for a program can be very confusing at times. So here are a few tips, tricks, and guidelines to follow while setting up your Wandoo Reader programs. 

Let's say the Program Start and End Dates are 06/01/2016 - 08/31/2016, and the Registration Date is set on 05/23/2016.  

Infant Program: Example of Age Range: Infant - 4 years old.  Recommended Birthdate Range: 05/24/2011 - (blank).  It is always best to leave the last box blank for all unborn children up to age 4 to participate in the Infant program.  It would be best to put it at 05/24/2011, so that all patrons from birth to 4 years & 364 days can be included in the program as well. 

• If the patron was born on 05/23/2011 or before, they would be considered 5 years old or older at the start of the registration for the program. And would not be eligible for this program.
• If the patron was born on 05/24/2011 until any time in the future, they would be eligible for this program.

Reminder: As stated above, let's say the Program Start and End Dates are 06/01/2016 - 08/31/2016, and the Registration Date is set on 05/23/2016.

Children’s Program: Example of Age Range: 5 - 12 years old. Recommended Birthdate Range: 05/24/2003 - 05/23/2011.  It would be best to put it at 05/24/2003, so that all patrons up to age 12 years & 364 days can be included in the program.   

• If the patron was born on 05/23/2003 or before, they would be considered 13 years old or older at the start of the registration for the program.  And would not be eligible for this program. 
• If the patron was born on 05/24/2011 or after, they would be considered 4 years old or younger at the start of the registration for the program.  And would not be eligible for this program.

Reminder: As stated above, let's say the Program Start and End Dates are 06/01/2016 - 08/31/2016, and the Registration Date is set on 05/23/2016.

Teen Program: Example of Age Range: 13 – 19 years old. Recommended Birthdate Range: 05/24/1996 – 05/23/2003.  It would be best to put it at 05/24/1996 so that all patrons up to age 19 years & 364 days can be included in the program.   

• If the patron was born on 05/23/1996 or before would be considered 20 years old or older at the start of the registration for the program.  And would not be eligible for this program.
• If the patron was born on 05/24/2003 or after, they would be considered 12 years old or younger at the start of the registration for the program.  And would not be eligible for this program.

Adults Program: Example of Age Range: 20 years old and up.  Recommended Birthdate Range: (blank) - 05/23/1996. It is always best to leave the first box blank for all adults 20 and up to participate in the adult program. 

• If the patron was born on 05/23/1996 or after, they would be considered 19 years old or younger at the start of the registration for the program. And would not be eligible for this program.
• If the patron was born on 05/23/1996 or any time before, they would be eligible for this program.
