The Register Patron modal on staff side can be used to register patrons who are new to Wandoo Reader or ones who are back from a previous Wandoo Reader program. You can access the Register Patron modal from the Wandoo Reader Dashboard area or from the program's "Register Now" button on the Program List page.

Register New Patrons
If the patron is a new registration, continue to fill out the registration form noting the required fields.
Please note that the email address, username, and password are not required when registering on the staff side.
If email address, username, and password are supplied, the patron will be able to participate using this same account from the patron side.
If email address, username, and password are not supplied, the patron will have to continue logging with the help of a librarian or register themselves on the patron side.
Duplicate Check When Registering Patron
The Register Now modal will search on the patron last name and identify if the patron is already in the system. If he or she is, the record can be selected from the drop down and patron information will be supplied. You can update any fields and fill in any program-specific registration fields as well.
Note: If you select a pre-existing patron record by accident and then change the name or birthdate, the system will notify you that it has created a new patron record leaving the original one unchanged. This is to prevent erasing any existing records by mistake.
Register from an Existing Patron Record
If a patron comes in who has participated in a program before at your library, you can also look up his or her patron record using Find Patron.
Once you’ve located the patron record, you can click the Register button.
This will pull up a list of ongoing programs for which the patron is eligible. You can then register the patron for the program. Some fields may not be editable in this process.
Edit an Existing Patron Record
To edit a patron’s information, use the Edit function also found on the patron ticket.
On the patron ticket, you can edit the patron record.
If the patron is registered for multiple ongoing programs at the same time, you can choose which program-specific patron record you want to update.
This is necessary because each program may have different custom questions. The general patron information (Name, birthdate, email) will be edited for all programs. All other information on the patron record is considered program-specific and updating it for one program will not affect the others.
