Logging into System with Authentication Enabled as Patron

The Spaces software can be configured so that the system will authenticate against an institution's ILS system.  If authentication is set up for a Spaces system, patrons will not need to create an account.  They will simply need to provide the information necessary for the system to authenticate against the institution's ILS to effectively log into and utilize the Spaces software.  To do this, patrons will first click the Login button in the top right-hand side of the initial page of the system.

They will then want to provide their library card numbers, last names, and/or pin numbers (the fields present for authenticating are dependent on what is required of your particular ILS system) and click the Login button at the bottom of the modal.

Once they log in, if the information that they provided is correct and their records are set-up effectively within the ILS, then the Login button in the right-hand corner of the initial page will change to My Account and Logout buttons.

**Note: If a patron does not get logged into the system by populating the fields and clicking the Login button, then the system will provide an error message explaining why the individual was was not able to access the system as expected.

Once patrons have searched for and found the rooms that they would like to request, their information should pre-populate some of the fields necessary for a person to request a room.
